BuddhaMind Privacy Policy

BuddhaMind is provided by the London Buddhist Centre (LBC).
We take your privacy seriously and only collect the data needed to support your meditation practice and improve the app.
What We Collect
When you create an account or use BuddhaMind, we may collect:
- Your name, email, and login method (via Firebase Authentication)
- Your meditation logs, streaks, and course progress
- Profile photos you upload from your camera or saved images
- Analytics data about how the app is used (via Firebase Analytics), linked to your account where appropriate, to help us improve the app
We only access your camera or photo library when you choose to upload a profile picture.
We do not otherwise collect location, contacts, or microphone data.
How We Use Your Data
We use your information to:
- Provide app features like saving your progress, displaying your profile, and syncing across devices
- Send important service-related messages about your account or courses (such as access, progress, or support), where applicable.
- Understand how people use the app so we can make it better
How We Store and Protect Your Data
Your data is securely stored using Firebase, managed by Google Cloud.
Sensitive information is encrypted in transit and at rest.
We never sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Children's Privacy
BuddhaMind is intended for a general audience.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without parental consent.
Account Deletion
To request deletion of your BuddhaMind account and associated personal data, please email info@lbc.org.uk with the subject line “Account Deletion Request.” We will process deletion requests in accordance with applicable law, and your account data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal or operational reasons.
