Triratna is founded on ordination. Everything in Triratna either leads towards ordination or expresses ordination. In this sense ordination is the keystone of the Triratna Buddhist Order and movement. Every time someone is ordained, the movement renews itself, becoming an ever greater source of goodness to the world.

Guhyaloka, the men’s ordination retreat centre in the south of Spain, exists to support this vision of ordination. Since its inception in the mid-80’s - when a group of pioneering men volunteered to build it - more than six hundred men have been ordained there.

But Guhyaloka needs help.

The kitchen/dining area is not fit for purpose, the accommodation needs to be expanded and improved, and we need to build a new inspirational shrine room that expresses ordination’s visionary meaning.

This April the London Buddhist Centre is hosting a week-long series of fundraising events including talks, discussion, candlelit dinners, live music, a triathlon, and a ceilidh. (There are even rumours of a return of The Three Cafe’s Challenge).

We invite you to participate in these events and help strengthen this keystone of the movement: to support the individuals receiving ordination and to help continue spreading the Dharma, for the benefit of all.
