Buddhism

Buddhism

Buddhism is a path of human evolution towards the state of Enlightened consciousness. Enlightenment (samyak-sambodhi) is beyond secular and divine, time and space, thought and words.

The path towards Enlightenment needs to be an expression of who we actually are, not just a grand-sounding idea. With this in mind, the London Buddhist Centre teaches Buddhism in a pragmatic way: one that is clear about the obstacles that confront us, but optimistic about our capacity to change.

We recommend:

  • Attend an Introduction to Buddhism & Meditation course to learn the basics.
  • Attend a residential retreat to live a complete Buddhist life, if only for a weekend or a week.
  • Join a regular discussion group to explore Buddhism in depth.
