Meditation

Meditation

Meditation is the most direct way to work on your mind and so transform your experience of life.

Meditation confronts you with who you really are, and what really drives you. It also has the potential to introduce you to a wholly new way of being: insightful, blissful, and absorbed.

We teach meditation as part of a unified Buddhist vision: a vision of self-transformation that, engaged with intensively enough, leads to Enlightenment.

Meditation is a ‘start-where-you-are’ practice. It leads you step-by-step through integration, emotional strength, insight, and finally expresses itself in spontaneous compassion. It is not primarily a technique – it’s more of an art, involving a touch of magic.

We recommend:
  • Learn two fundamental meditation practices, cultivating focus and emotional strength, at one of our evening classes.
  • Progress onto one of our more intensive courses.
  • Go on retreat to meditate in the best possible conditions.
