Help to get on retreat

The London Buddhist Centre is committed to offering the teachings of the Buddha to anyone, irrespective of background or financial means. Therefore we run most of our activities on a donation basis, with our teachers and teams all volunteering their time. However, we need to charge for some of our activities, and the cost of retreats especially can sometimes prevent people from attending.

For that reason, we have a fund to provide low-cost introductory weekend retreats to anyone for whom money is a barrier. We particularly want to support people from groups that are typically under-represented on our retreats. The Ratnasambhava Fund is available to anyone with an annual income lower than £21,548 (the London Living Wage) and is only available for certain retreats.

If the retreat you’re interested in isn't covered by the fund, or you’re ineligible, we encourage you to get in touch with us anyway. If you write to bookings@lbc.org.uk and let us know about your situation, we’ll be in touch. We’re always happy to discuss other ways to make it possible to get you onto a retreat.
