Kum Nye Tibetan Yoga

Kum Nye Tibetan Yoga

Led by Sanghasiha

Kum Nye is a Tibetan movement practice, similar to tai chi or yoga. This taster session explores simple exercises using movement, breath and awareness to release tension and develop a deeper sense of ease in both body and mind. It loosely translates as 'attention to or massage of the subtle body' and is suitable for all ages and most levels of fitness and flexibility.

Guest speaker Devamitra explores the life and significance of Thich Quang Duc, the Buddhist monk who immolated himself in Saigon on 11 June 1963. His act became one of the defining images of the twentieth century, drawing global attention to the persecution of Buddhists in South Vietnam. He reflects on its meaning today and the heroic ideal in Buddhism.

Gender Diverse Sangha Retreat

Beyond the binary

This retreat will be led by a team of gender diverse order members. It is open to those that are mitras and order members as well as those who are thinking of becoming mitras (by invite).
We will explore practising the dharma together as gender diverse people. People who identify as trans, non-binary, gender fluid, gender non-conforming, agender, intersex and gender diverse are all welcome.
