Mindfulness of the Buddha

A four week course for Mitras and Order Members

Mindfulness is a word we hear a lot these days -- but what were the Buddha's original teachings on mindfulness? In this four-week course, we will learn and practice mindfulness from the words of the Buddha, inspired by the Satipatthana Sutta. This is one of the most influential meditation texts in Buddhism, and can support us to live with more embodied awareness, contentment and insight. This course is for Mitras and Members of the Triratna Buddhist Order only.

Mindful Writing: The Keeper of Stories

Led by Aryavandana

A new format where writer and artist Aryavandana interviews an Order Member on a Dharmic theme, and then opens up the space for writing with prompts and techniques. The morning ends with a ritual offering of optional readings from participants. We will hear how Amalabandhu holds other people's stories at the end of their lives. The proceeding writing workshop will offer prompts and techniques from Aryavandana and Amalabandhu to hear turning points from people's lives, and how then we might capture them compassionately on the page. All materials provided.
Free (suggested donation £25).
