Our Retreat Rates
The London Buddhist Centre is committed to making the Buddha’s transformative teachings available to as many people as possible. That’s why all our regular classes are free of charge, and those who teach or support them do so voluntarily.
To be able to run retreats and maintain Vajrasana, we depend on the generosity of those who attend and need to ask for a certain amount when you book. By giving the full rate, you not only cover the basic costs of your own retreat – you also help us continue offering the conditions for growth to as many people as possible.
If the full rate is too much for you, we’d like to help. There are several ways we can make things more manageable:
Klarna:
At checkout, you can choose Klarna to spread the cost over three interest-free monthly payments.
Low Income Rate:
This option is available to anyone whose financial circumstances prevent them from being to attend at the full rate. We don’t ask for proof – just that you choose the full rate if you’re able to.
Bursary fund:
We have a bursary fund called the Ratnasambhava Fund which is generously supported by our sangha and enables us to offer further support for people to get on retreat. If you’re not in a position to give the low income rate, we may still be able to offer you a place for an amount that would be within your means.
To explore this option, please call our bookings manager on 0208 70 999 78 (10am–5pm weekdays – leave a message if we don’t pick up), or email bookings@lbc.org.uk.
Before contacting us, it may be helpful to have a think about the amount you are able to give, perhaps factoring in what you’d normally spend over that period. Could you offer, for instance, 80% of the low income rate? Or 60%?
More information about payments and cancellations can be found on our Bookings Policy, here.
