Thursday Night Class: Meditation & In-Conversation

Meeting the Buddhas

To transform the mind we need to know the mind. The fifty-one mental events provide a comprehensive map of the mind's every aspect: good, bad or indifferent. We hope you can join the Thursday evening class as we explore this extensive Buddhist teaching. We will be guided by Sangharakshita's Know Your Mind - our own teacher's exploration - and Mind in Harmony, the commentary upon it by Subhuti, the LBC's President.

Facing Suffering | With Breathing Space

Mindfulness in Daily Life: Interactive Online Sessions

It’s not easy to meet our suffering head on. In this workshop, Aryavandana, an accredited mindfulness facilitator and experienced Buddhist teacher, explores how when we face challenge we can lessen unnecessary suffering. The session includes a guided meditation where we turn towards our suffering and meet it with gentle acceptance, rather than away from it; and she offers tools and a technique that will help us meet suffering with shared humanity and strength.
