Life with Full attention

An eight-week practical course in Mindfulness

Starts Tuesday 4 Feb | 7.15–9.45pm | In person or online

Long before modern psychology, the Buddhist tradition developed a training manual to help us understand and transform our own minds.

This course offers a clear map of the inner landscape of your mind and a compass to guide your actions, setting you on a path towards a deeper freedom of heart and mind.

Course Description

We’ll start by exploring what the mind actually is and what is happening in our mind moment to moment. Learning how to distinguish between mental events, those that get in the way and those that allow life to flourish.

Then we’ll go deeper into how the mind gets drawn into experience and how it can be trained to work for us rather than against us,  leading to transformation that is authentic and lasting. ultimately giving us a taste of the vast potential of human consciousness.

What this will look like:

– A six-week course combining the philosophy of Buddhism with its practical, accessible application

– Specific guidance on how to practise Buddhism in real life ways

– A weekly chance to monitor your progress and set goals in small groups

– You’ll receive a free copy of Mind in Harmony, which you can read between sessions to deepen your understanding and guide your practice

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I get the most from the course?

Here are some top tips for taking part:

Come every week – whether you feel like it or not. If you look for motivation before you do something, you reverse your motivation; mostly you only want to do something when you’re actually doing it.

Come early – so you can lie down in the shrine room and have a nap, you probably need it and you’ll get more from the class if you do.

Do your ‘home practice’ every day – then each week you’ll be in a small group to check in about how that went.

What if I can’t make every session?

Do sign-up even if you know you can’t make every session, as you will be able to catch-up from the weekly emails.

If you are going to miss a class – email the home group leader so we know and can let others know. And do come back the following week. Don’t feel guilty for not having attended, just come back and start again.

How to take part if I bought the online element?

You will receive a welcome email with a zoom link and all the details. Part of the evening will include break-out groups – you will be with the same group of people each week.
