Dr. Ambedkar Day Festival

Celebrating the 'Dhamma Revolution'

Sun 12 Oct | 10am–4pm | In person and online

Led by Paramabodhi and Suryagupta

Buddhism doesn’t just have the potential to change society – it already has! In India’s history there have been mass conversions of millions – away from injustice and oppression, and into dignity and freedom.

In 1956, Dr B.R. Ambedkar led hundreds of thousands of former 'untouchables' in India in a conversion to Buddhism, launching a movement for dignity and spiritual freedom. Join us for a day celebrating Dr. Ambedkar's life and influence, which shows us the power of the Buddha's teaching to transform both ourselves and society. All welcome.
